International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer
September 16th marks International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer. Although there would be no life without sunlight, the energy emanating from the sun would be too much for life on Earth to thrive without the protection afforded by the ozone-layer. World Animal Day
MISSION OF WORLD ANIMAL DAY To raise the status of animals in order to improve welfare standards around the globe. It's celebrated in different ways in every country, irrespective of nationality, religion, faith or political ideology. World Habitat Day
The United Nations designated the first Monday of October of every year as World Habitat Day to reflect on the state of our habitats, and on the basic right of all to adequate shelter. The Day is also intended to remind the world that we all have the power and the responsibility to shape the future of our cities and towns.
